I bought my unit in December of 2023 and I've been using it ever since. I've been big into using Mainsgate for Auxillary Keys at church, and after a long time I began running out if space on my Macbook, and through the recommendations of others I biut the unit to store my sound samples and bank presets. This was a big help and what was a plus was just how fast the unit registers and reads on my macbook. The efficiency of pulling sound and files from the unit has been way faster than any other hard drive I've had before and I'll definitely be buying this product again in the future. Definitely got the bang fir my buck with this one.

I purchased this portable SSD about a year ago, and it is still going strong! I have the one terabyte version of the t7, and I share it between my entire family. Between the use of all of my family members, this storage unit has been able to store all of our photos, and be durable enough to withstand any sort of situation we put it in so far. This portable storage device has been amazing in terms of storing photos from our Samsung devices, and from storing photos and videos from our professional cameras. Because of the USB-C port, and the amazing included cables, we are able to transfer photos and videos extremely quickly.

Right out of the box, I knew this was going to be super easy to setup and use. It even comes with two cables to plug into with a standard USB to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C. All you have to do is plug it in and run the software install file that pops up. Setup even let's you encrypt the drive for privacy or you can leave it off if you wish. Deciding if you want to encrypt or not is the hardest part of setup and use. Samsung has done it again! The drive doesn't get too hot and maintains its speed without over heating because of its thermal control feature it has. The T7 is very compact and lightweight for easy transport and it won't take up too much storage space in your case.

Bought the Samsung portable solid state drive 500 GB t7 external hard drive and I'm obsessed it's over a gigabyte speed transfer rate and is super legit running large PC games saved to the hard drive while playing on the Android or the PC through the type c wire this thing is lightweight it's slim and the thing looks cooler than the phone does I've got an a52 5G and a Dell latitude i-700 gig add-on storage over my already solid state drive 128 gig hard drive it's a huge improvement and at a very very affordable price! Highly recommended because this works on all devices. all devices.

I got this portable drive a couple months ago. I got it because I am a wrestling coach and was recording all the matches. In no time my phone memory was filled up with videos and I had no room to even use my phone. This sleek little feller right here is awesome. It magnetized to my mag safe phone and the best part is that it is paper thin and light weight, so it's like it's not even there. It connects to my Galaxy tab s10 ultra, my s23 ultra, and my surface pro 9 seamlessly. Which allows me to transfer data with ease. It's so compact that I bring it everywhere. P

Wow, thats what I have to say about the speed of this drive. It's quick! I love the size and the fact that it comes with two different usb c cables. The encryption is nice. I like the security knowing that if I lose the drive I dont have to worry about the data on it. It fits in my backpack with my laptop and goes everywhere it does. I will say this. I would like to see a different finish on the drive that has a little stick to it. thats the only thing that comes to mind that needs improvement. love this little drive. 1 TB also :) an updae after I have been able to use the drive for a little bit. its fast, it doesnt get hot. the thermal control feature works well on this drive. I can leave in on my lap and it barely gets warm.

I bought a product that was compact and had significant memory - and Samsung Portable SSD T7 1TB hit the mark. The device is very user-friendly, as you simply plug in the UBS cord to the computer and portable hard drive. I used the portable drive to back up my entire computer, and I used less than 30% of the available space on the drive. Bottom line: this device is easy to use, functional, has a lot of capacity, and copies folders and files relatively quickly. Samsung could have provided a sleeve or case to protect the portable harddrive.

I am using this 1TB T7 drive to run Linux Fedora. I boot my laptop with the driver plugged into the USB port and am presented with a menu from which I can either boot Linux from the T7 or Windows from the internal SSD. The responsiveness of the drive is such that I feel as though I'm running Linux from an internal SSD. I love the drive. I've also got a 2TB drive about which I've not yet decided how I will put it to use. The drive is physically very small and very durable. I purchased a case that holds both drives securely.

Sleek portable and easy to use, have yet to have a problem one year in. Wish I purchased the larger one or two terabyte options because initially only needed it to transfer my old phone data to my new one. My technologically challenged grandmother could use this without instruction. Also, having a Samsung phone, I felt made the first use very quick and easy to connect and setup. My wife has I-Phone, we tested the difference in speed of uploading vs downloading and noticed very little if any advantage to phone brand. Speed is only down to file size since this little device is an SSD it operates lightning fast and precise already. Highly reccomend and no im not A.I. lol just really appreciate a good product when I get one, very rare nowadays to actually get what you pay for.

My first memory product from samsung. Took a little bit of time to figure out how to use. But once I got it working, and there's great capacity compatibility and seems to be very durable. Purchased a few years ago with a five hundred gig.And then recently purchased the two terabyte t5 as an upgrade to the t7 only for storage space outside of that that the speed of the t five is perfect. And does everything that it says it does in the description. Would you recommend anyone looking for storage for any purpose.

In the past, I would take the hard drive out of a pc or laptop once it would crash and over the years have accumulated a lot of life onto them. Then one after one they would break or stop working at the slightest damage. After losing a lot of irreplaceable data decided to try a ssd and have always been a samaung guy so I bought the t7 and love it always fast, reliable, tough and I've never had a problem with it. Excellent product, couldn't be happier and plan on purchasing more in the future.

I bought this a month ago because my laptop only had 256GB. It's so nice to have a 1TB extra space since I have a lot of files for my college. I liked the 1TB memory space so much that I'm considering buying the galaxy book 5 (since it has the 1TB memory space). I also liked how light weight and slim it is. The ssd is so easy to carry around. I didn't want anything heavy since I have to walk everyday, but the ssd doesn't even take up any space in my bag and you can't even feel the weight.

First, i have been a loyal Samsung customer for over 25 yrs. so what's weird to me is that, i don't know if its just the memory products. but when i plug in the T7 to other brands to view, transfer, or any other related task. certain files are corrupted and i am not able to do anything with them. but when paired with its own Samsung brand. those same files that were "corrupted" are normal. thats the only problem I've encountered. aside from that, the Samsung T7 is an awesome memory product.

I love it!! It's fast transferring of everything I need backed up! Very compact and fits perfectly in a pocket or wherever. It's also in my favorite color, I will eventually buy another one when I need more space! Definitely recommend especially for photographers/ creators if any sort! Great way to take your art/creations/photos ect! I'll always buy samsung products, as I always have, great qualities in every aspect in my opinion! The samsung portable SSD T7 500 GB memory device is amazing. I love the password security feature which puts me at ease with the sensitive information that I like to keep on the drive. The small card size design is amazing and it doesnt heat up making it optimal for long sessions. The device loads fast and the file transfers are extremely fast. Having connectivity via usb-c and usb-a makes this perfect for moving information between my two computers. The blue color is also an amazing look.

I’m a gamer. I’d been wanting a reliable external SSD so I could have increased flexibility with games, sometimes I use different platform, or visit a friend. This SSD is substantially smaller than my phone or wallet making it extremely easy to transport. I love it’s small physical size and it’s large storage size, but my favorite feature is how fast it is. It’s faster than some internal SSDs making it much better for games. It decreases load times and increases gameplay. I love it!

I bought it just to free up memory on my laptop that wasn't really necessary to have stored on the computer. It is small enough to always have with me as i work on the road. But I soon found out that it is much more capable. Now that I have a gaming laptop, I found that it is fast enough to install the games straight to the SSD and not clog up my laptop's storage. I would definitely recommend this SSD, as well as the other Samsung brand storage I have used. Top tier products!

I just received my indigo blue portable SSD t7 and it is beautiful. I love the color and the size is perfect. It is about the size of a credit card and half the thickness of my phone. I love that it came with both a USB "c to c" and a "c to a" cable. I can easily carry the drive in my pocket to use on the go with my cell phone or tablet. I transferred movies from my tablet to the hard drive very quickly. A 2gb movie took about 10 seconds to transfer.

I purchased this and bought a month ago and finally got a chance to use them today. In OMG compared to the T3 is blazing fast with no hiccups. And I understand comparing T3 to AT7 is a bit different but if you have. Used 33 before you know how quick that was. I have had my t7 500gb ssd for more than a year for sure now. I have never had a single problem with it. I've used it to store games mostly, before the series x was possible to get this would run COD faster than playing it straight off of my Xbox 1s all digital. Also setting it up with the Xbox in the beginning was super easy. I couldn't ask for more I have got my money's worth plus some, and still have exactly what I bought ready to go tomorrow.

Recently I traveled with my phone Samsung S24 ultra. Unfortunately while in the airplane somebody hacked my phone. Only choice I had was to reset losing all the data. I bought this about 3 months ago and love it. It has a security code to unlock it so you can put your secure files on it or important pictures, videos, etc. It's easy to use just plug it in and install the t7 setup and it walks you through setting it up. It keeps your memory on my laptop clear so it runs faster and don't have to worry about viruses on my computer. Overall everything i expected and then some. A+++ RATINGS.

I bought 2 of the 1 TB units, one for me and the other for my wife. They just sit there, perform, quietly with no noise or vibration. Setting up for Mac required reformatting which was easy to do. I also bought 2 of the 2 TB for backing up, which also perform very nicely. I love the fact they have no moving parts, and are very small, the size of a thick credit card. And they came with both USB and USB-C cables.

I had a very large audio file of memorable conversations with my parents living on my phone. In the past, I lost some very important stories because I lost my phone and didn't have my recordings backed up anywhere! Never again will this happen, I purchased this SDD and I love my external hard drive it keeps all this information safe and accessible whenever I may need it! The size and look of it are amazing. It's portable and simple to use too. The setup was quick and fast. The file transfer was quicker than I expected. Password security is comforting. The feature I liked is compatible with mac, windows, and android. Overall it is a good device that comes in handy. The thermal control feature also comes in handy as the device doesn't get overheated and cause any issues.

Works with my Samsung device and my Motorola device flawlessly. I can save on the go with out issue, and it comes with some nifty modernized security you can modify to suite your privacy needs. 500 GB Is almost used in entirety of mostly music files, but I have backups of both devices also located on my portable hard drive. As well as encrypted files such as passwords, and contacts backups.

The only weird thing is that it sometimes slows down for a sec, then speeds right back up. But honestly, it's been a total lifesaver for me when I need to transfer files quickly. This drive is perfect. At first the price of the drive was reasonable so I picked one up. Wish I picked up to at that time if I had known the price would triple. The drive is perfect...perfect size, perfect speed and just enough capacity to backup my entire TB1 Samsung phone. Its very portable and can easily connect directly to my phone. I bought this drive 1TB to back up my wife's computer and cell phone. It's comparably faster writing large files to it compared to my T5 512GB SSD drive. Roughly same size and very compact to carry with you. Both versions I have are made in Korea. They are both very good build quality aluminum cased. AAA+ *The protective case I store it in is optional not supplied by Samsung*

I have been using it every day for storage of files I don't want to leave on my laptop. It's lightweight, no issues or problems with the drive at all, was shock how low the temps while in use. I wish I had got the 1tb version but this should last me for me min. Remember to get the Samsung software to check for updates to drive and keep track on the status of drive health.

bought a new t7 portable drive & wanted to update the firmware as i always do w/ the t5's i have. but magician & the portable software both say no firmware & not any to install available. i followed the instructions in the samsung guide but am very disappointed that i cannot get the full speed from the t7, i actually get speed slower than the t5's that i have been using.

I've had one of these plugged into my laptop for about 2 years now with regular use (gaming, music production) and it is fantastic. Never failed me, and faster than my Surface's on board storage. Excellent external hard drive. Fast reliable and I have never had a problem with it. It is very durable with a metal encasing. I have a Samsung phone so it is very compatible. I use this device to store photos and videos. The upload and download speed ot the drive are hands down the best I've used. It is easily accessible and compatible with all my tech devices. I've had the product since 2020 and use it for my PlayStation 4 and 5. It's a great solution for gaming, especially if you have multiple consoles. Due to Sony, however, you can only play PS4 games directly from the drive. PS5 games can be stored, but cannot be played off the portable drive. You would need to move the file onto the PS5's internal storage.

I bought this based on a YouTube recommendation. It works great with my S 22 Samsung phone. Very easy to use and seamless. Though it’s not very straightforward on how to get rid of some of your pre-existing back ups. I accidentally got it wet and saw the dreaded red light, I left it out to dry and came back and it worked though. It is so small and fits in your pocket. Samsung says this drive is compatible with Macintosh OS but if you do a search on Apple Support Community you'll find most Mac users using Sonoma (the current version) are unable to mount the drive on their Macs. It really is false advertising by Samsung to say that this drive works with a Mac - because it doesn't.

I will preface this review by saying that as a videographer, I thank my storage seriously. Once I received the drive, I immediately plugged it in to perform some necessary tests. The drive surprised me with its performance, especially with it being so compact. I begin to add the drive into my real-world workflow offloaded HD and 4K footage, and the transfer rates were impressive. I did notice the top performance appears to require USB-C, but the performance I received on my MacBook Pro using a standard USB 3.1 Type-A port was also impressive. In summary, the Drive was easy to set-up on both my MacOS and Windows 10 devices. It is sleek and fits into my camera bag without taking much space, it appears to be pretty durable, it’s cool to the touch and the reputation of the Samsung name behind it has this drive as a pure winner in my book. My only regret is that I didn't get an opportunity to purchase a larger size but I will surely be buying a second drive to go along with this one.

Ive owned one since 2019 and have all my pictures stored in there. Coming from a hard drive where ive lost many years worth of pictures due to corrupted files, this is a must for me. I have 4 Samsung SSD's, one 2TB, two 1TB and one 500GB. My first purchase was the 500GB which encouraged me to buy the others. My only negative is they need to provide a 4TB portable drive. Love the performance and the portability. I can carry 4TB in one pocket and not worry about data damage.

Very good portability. Adding a sleeve on a laptop makes it always accessible and just need to get a good dedicated short usbc and basically increase capacity of device. Inbox cable not very good and gets a little finicky to use. Gets quite warm but should be throttled to prevent damage.

I picked this up as an accidental find and so far it's been absolutely perfect for my needs. I use it to store gaming roms, save files, pictures transferred when i clean my phone, etc. Very fast, looks great, and the aluminum frame does wonders for keeping it cool under load.

Worse than no drive. After only weeks of use it already randomly disconnects or won't connect, making data transfer a huge pain if not impossible. It's a complete toss-up whether or not this will do anything when I plug it in. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

The Portable SSD T7 was purchased to be used in a real estate office as storage for scanned documents. The office previously had purchased two other T7s with one being used as a shared drive and the other as a backup. All three have worked flawlessly.

The T7 is a great hard drive. It transfers final very quickly. I use it mainly for time machine on my Mac. Transfer speeds are important but the most important feature is the reliability and know my files are safely stored on Samsung drives.
