I have a few friends and family who have recently passed away and remembering them is my greatest honor.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have accumulated so many pictures over the years that trying to keep them all in 1 place is so overwhelming😵‍💫🤯😵‍💫🤯. All my SD cards have duplicated images but with this I'll be able to delete, store, and print my photos. I LOVE THE T7!! IT GIVES ME SO MUCH EASE! In addition to that it was a free product bonus for purchasing the GALAXY BOOK4 ULTRA!!! That GALAXY BOOK4 is a miraculous tech tool on its own. 😅😅😅😅😅 THANKYOU SAMSUNG!!!🤩🤩😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋

I got my Samsung portable SSD for my birthday from my godmother who knows I love tech. My computer only came with about 300GB of storage, so this was a game changer for me. I also had a lot of pictures and videos on my game console that needed to be stored somewhere else to free up space, and this SSD was the perfect thing for that too! It's write speeds are much faster than an older external hard drive I had, along with pretty much all of my USB drives. I now save most of the videos that I make on the SSD. And 2TB is such a large amount of storage to me, I've basically made it my secondary storage unit now! 10/10 product!

For years I have been trying to find a solution of not having to carry around multiple or bulky memory devices. It's literally smaller than my wallet. It was a breeze to set up and now I feel so secure if I misplace. Aluminum case is sturdy and won't crack or damage from a small drop like some of my others I've purchased in the past. I was able to bring my workload home without having to lug the different devices I use there and still have my downloaded PS4 games loaded with tons more space still available. The speed loaded at the same rate from first file to file 247 I currently have loaded. I would definitely recommend and will be purchasing one for my son as well.

The drive is compact, lightweight, sleek. Very easy to carry around. The Titan Gray/aluminum design gets praise for looking premium and feeling sturdy. 2 TB is considered a “sweet spot” for many users: plenty of space without needing to go to 4 TB (which is more expensive). The value is good when compared to other external SSDs with similar speed. 4. Compatibility & Convenience Includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, so works with a wide range of devices (laptops, desktops, possibly consoles, etc.). Plug-and-play user experience: many report that it works right out of the box, with easy Hardware-AES 256-bit encryption is considered a plus by many, especially for storing sensitive data.

Using Samsung Magic to do benchmark, I get Sequential Read: 44mbs Sequential Write 36 mbs Random Read 7324 IOPS Random Write 5371 IOPS I don't know a ton about this stuff but here's a perfect example of the performance: On steam, it took 45 mins to allocate space on this ssd for Dead Space Remake, and Hogwarts Legacy. On my basic WD HDD, it happened so quickly I almost thought it didn't. I dunno if this drive is defective but.....I will probably never buy a Samsung drive, again. First impressions are everything.... I mean, yall used to make good CRT tvs hahaha

The maximum transfer speed that can be achieved by the T7 is 1,050MB/s on a PC that supports USB 3.2 Gen2, UASP mode, but the speed may vary depending on the user‘s PC environment and the types of data being transferred. Please look to the details below for possible causes (and solutions) if you think your T7 is under performing. Scenario 1 (PC Environment) Your PC's USB Type C Port must support USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) in order to fully utilize the speed of the T7. USB 3.0 Gen.1, USB 3.1 Gen 1. USB 3.2 Gen.1 are restricted to 5Gbs speeds any may be the bottleneck to the performance of your T7. Scenario 2 (Cable) Using other cables besides the enclosed cable that comes with the T7 may cause performance degradation. Due to the varying internal resistance and maximum allowable current of other the cable types that does not come officially with the T7. Scenario 3 (Dynamic Thermal Guard, DTG) The T7 is designed to activate the DTG (Dynamic Thermal Guard) when the product reaches a its threshold temperature due to prolonged data transfers and usage. The smartly activated DTG function prevents the product from overheating and automatically slows down providing it a cool off period. The DTG technology enhances safety and reliability by preventing the product from reaching an excessively high temperature. The SSD is a great product overall. For one, it packs a big storage space, which was able to store many files. I moved over thousands of pictures and videos, which it handled easily. It also uses the USB-C 3.2 interface, which made it easy to connect to phones, allowing me to access files on the go, without a computer. The transfer speed was fantastic, I was able to transfer gigabytes upon gigabytes of media with ease. Lastly, the durability seems great. It looks to be made of durable metals, surviving some bending. Overall, a great storage solution.

Incredibly Tiny. The T7 is about the size of five credit cards stacked together. It will fit in that tiny jeans pocket, not that I would recommend that! Incredibly Fast. With the included USB-C to USB-C cable, this drive has amazing read and write speeds. It has market leading performance. A USB-A to USB C Cable is also included in the box for those with older computers. Incredibly Powerful. The included management software from Samsung will guide you when it comes to encrypting your data to keep it safe from local physical access from others. Incredibly Versatile. The 2TB option is enough for me to feel future proofed for several years of data, photo, video and audio backups locally as well as transporting files from location to location.

I bought one of these to use as the boot/root file-system harddisk on a Raspberry Pi 4+ (RPi) running linux to get better performance than using a sd-card or USB thumb drive. It's been working just great since received and while a RPi isn't extremely fast the disk improves boot time and the database speed for the e-mail spam filtering software on the RPi making it easier to use and monitor. System update performance is also better. The 2D footprint of the disk is almost the same as the RPi and the disk doesn't need additional external power, just a USB cable. So the two combine well without needing a massive brick external USB disk that needs it's own power supply connected to the RPi. The whole RPi and SSD T7 disk assembly is easily portable as a result.

I bought my T7 SSD 2TB in 2024 to transfer and hold all of my musical audio. As an independent artist, transferring files and saving them is VERY important. Not only do I have enough space (for now) but the ablity to customizable file names, it having slim form factor, durability, having a type C port and not getting hot when transferring files has all been a plus. Made different situations with large files alot easier to manage than other SSDs i used before. Definitely one of the most reliable piece of tech I own today.

I've been a fan of Samsung's portable SSDs ever since I got my first 256GB T3 drive 4 years ago. I must say, the T7 is a great upgrade. The size of the unit is roughly the size of a credit card and only 8mm thin making it so easy to slide into a pocket of your clothing or bag and take it anywhere. The built-in hardware encryption is a great feature. There is even a read-only partition on the drive that includes the installation software for when you need to access the drive on a new computer. My own personal speed tests gave 1004.6 MB/s read and 915.93 MB/s write (Blazing fast!!). The NVMe technology has certainly given this drive a leg up over the older Samsung models. The SSD also stayed cool during even extended transfer sessions. Would highly recommend.

I got this to replace a very old (10+ years) hard drive where we store our digital music files. The old one was starting to make noise so I knew it was time to retire it. I asked a colleague for an SSD recommendation and he did not hesitate in suggesting Samsung. The T7 looked to be exactly what I needed - SSD, substantial storage, and compatible connections. This is a solid drive (no pun intended). Seriously, this drive is a champ. I have the T5 and it too is a workhorse. It's the reason I bought the T7. Transfers are quick. It is compact and dependable. I have had other drives, but these are speedy and reliable. I've had the T7 since 2020, and the T5 since 2018. I use my T5 for graphics and my T7 for music and videos. Love my drives. Looking to upgrade here soon because I need more space.

I recently purchased two (2) SSD 2 gb drives. One was a Samsung and the other was a SanDisk. The SanDisk drive was definitely not "plug & play". I had numerous problems with getting it to work. Plus every time I went to use it, I was forced to an extremely timely login procedure to gain access to it. The Samsung performed flawlessly and I had none of the issues, like I had with the SanDisk

I bought this a couple weeks ago for use with Nvidia shield pro. I copied about 1tb from my desktop PC of videos, picture and music. Connection to my desktop was USB 3.1. the transfer was very fast. Now connected to the shield pro, videos and music play perfectly with no stutter or wait time. I will be buying another for use as additional internal storage for the shield.

i love samsungs internal ssd drives, and i was looking forward to using this. however, the software turned out to be buggy and very unreliable. i setup the drive and set a password. i saved the password, logged out and then back in without issue. i then safely ejected the drive via windows. when i went to use it next, samsungs software refused to accept the password.

Another reminder why Samsung is an unparallelled leader in NAND Flash silicon, firmware and ASIC design. Extremely happy with my 2TB T7 SSD. Transferred a 3GB file from my modest Galaxy S22 to the T7..... Seven seconds! And that's not cheating-it's-only-in-RAM-cache 7 seconds, that's actually stored in the NAND Flash. Incredible. I love Samsung product.

While it was a bit tricky to set up at first and making it stay connected to the computer after putting it in sleep mode, this thing has reliably played VR games and high resolution games with little to no hiccups. If I had another USB-C port, I would have definitely ordered another one to further increase my available space, freeing up my D drive.

The Samsung software in/with the unit seems a buggy bunch of bloatware and I finally just had to delete all of it and just format the drive directly from the macOS operating system.

I bought SSD T7 USB 3.2 2TB (Red) not more than a month, so far, no issues. It is very early to give review on this product. Only the concern I experience is to be careful while using because the drive body is made of metal and if it accidently drops at floor, it will be dent easily and may be damaged.

Cannot transfer files from iPad to the ssd. The first time I used it, only 2900 out of 3200 photos were transferred. The second time I tried it, it says png file cannot be loaded. Not to mention the speed (both read and write) does not even reach 10% of what the product info page says.

I've been using it for about two months and I haven't encountered any problem. The data transfer speed is very good with a slight increase in temperature with heavy use and for long periods In general, I love it and I am sure that my data is in a safe place

The speeds are super fast and helped me transfer movies to and from my friend in such little time. The face that samsung includes two cables is also such a life saver when a friend may not use usb c on their laptop, the usb a cable is there to save the day.

So far I've had no issues. Stores all my backup/important files. It's relatively small and easy to store. The device downloads files pretty quickly and comes with a way to password protect/encrypt your stored files. Not a bad choice for a storage drive.

I bought this hard drive specifically to store my massive media collection. I'm amazed at the speed and how quickly I can download and transfer files to and from this ssd. I since purchased a second 2 TB and a 1TB as I have filled my original drive.

I absolutely love my portable SSD. Transferring data from my phone (android) to the SSD is very easy. I take a ton of pictures and videos so this product is great upload the big files from my phone to the SSD. I haven't had any issues with it.

This is by far the best tech drive. I am absolutley in love with the portability and the amount of space at 2TB is INSANE!! The color is most definitely BLUETIFUL!!! Best ever!!! (sending teams a virtual high five from Louisville, KY!!!)

The product is made of quality material and is well designed. The only issue is not designing the software to be more user friendly/intergration friendly requiring Mac users to have to change setting s on macs for SSD to work correctly.

Had a couple for a while and they have been working great so far, good speed for type of storage it is and the connection it uses, you can get faster ones using a TB4 case but your looking twice to three times as expensive doing that.

This is a great storage device. It transfers data very fast. My only problem is have had with this is when I have it plugged into phone or pc it will disconnect for no reason even though I haven't moved the device or data cable.

Not sure when exactly I got this, but it's been around 3 years and I have 3 of the T7 2Tb ssds and I haven't regretted a second of it, it's been perfect to store my vods and videos and hasn't let me down since

I've used this as a backup on my computer for quite a while now. It's fast and quiet and does the job. Somehow it was smaller than I expected, so I leave it plugged in all the time to make sure I can find it.
