What should I do when water drops fall from my air conditioner?

A small amount of dew can be caused by temperature differences depending on the local weather and is totally normal, as is a small amount of water leakage. To prevent or minimise this, some steps can be taken. Read on to learn how.
If the leakage is severe, a technician's inspection is likely required.
Note: Water may drip from the pipes of the outdoor unit, as condensation could develop when the ambient temperature or humidity changes significantly. This is normal.

Causes of Water Leakage in the Indoor Unit of the AC
There are a number of reasons water leakage may occur in the indoor unit of the AC. The unit may not be levelled and so is causing a flow issue and leakage, the drain hose may be facing above the indoor unit, be bent, or is submerged in water, rainwater may flow through the pipe to the perforated hole, or the drain hole may be clogged.

The end of the drain hose is NOT to be placed underwater, so check that this isn't the case.
Water Leakage in the Outdoor Unit of the Air Conditioner
In case of water in the outdoor unit piping connection and service valve:
When the air conditioner is operated, the pipe may become cold, and dew may form on the bottom of the pipe connection and the outdoor unit.
This is normal, and is due to the temperature difference with the heat outside.
